Lisa Shpritz, Senior Vice President, Environmental Operations Executive, Global Environmental Group, Bank of America Corp.

 

Lisa Shpritz

Lisa Shpritz is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Senior Vice President in the Global Environmental Group, within Bank of America’s Corporate Social Responsibility Group. As Environmental Operations Executive, she is responsible for tracking and reporting on global environmental impacts at Bank of America. Lisa works to ensure that operational efficiency and resource conservation are integrated into the Bank and oversees public environmental commitments related to Bank operations.

 

Lisa joined Bank of America in 2005, and spent six years in Corporate Workplace, where she established the Environmental Risk and Sustainability Group, which oversaw environmental compliance and sustainability in the Bank’s occupied real estate portfolio of more than 100 million square feet.

 

Prior to joining Bank of America in 2005, Lisa worked in international environmental management, managing risk for telecommunications companies. She developed and maintained environmental health and safety programs, ISO 14001-registered environmental management systems and electronics recycling programs for facilities throughout the US and Canada.

 

Lisa represented Bank of America on the Board of Directors of United States Green Building Council (USGBC), in the Finance, Surety and Corporate Real Estate seat from 2006 through 2013, serving the last two years as Board Treasurer. She currently is Chair of the USGBC Board Finance and Audit Committee, serves on the Executive Advisory Board of the USGBC North Carolina chapter and is an ex officio member of the board of Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful. As a volunteer Citizen Teacher for Citizen Schools at Quail Hollow Middle School in Charlotte, she teaches 6th graders how to minimize their carbon footprints.

 

Lisa holds a master’s degree in environmental management from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University in the program of chemistry, toxicology and risk assessment, an MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School with concentrations in real estate and sustainable enterprise and a BA in Biology from Cornell University. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she resides in Charlotte, North Carolina with her husband and two children.
